Growing up in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, Allyson began visiting St. Croix and immediately felt at home.
With much of her time spent with nonprofit organizations, Allyson came to know the natural and local landscape very well. She enjoys working with local leaders to implement systemic and lasting change across the island.
Allyson is a leadership member of The Black Alumni Collective, which was created in Atlanta in fall 2018 after Black leaders across 10+ universities agreed that a collective voice is essential in moving our universities, alumni, and local communities forward.
Allyson is most interested in empowering people and organizations to build vital communities through innovative resource development. Her international work reflects her passion to enable people to make informed decisions about their giving, leadership, and ability to serve others. Her 17-year career in institutional philanthropy has benefited client partners in higher education, community development, arts & culture, and healthcare.
