Allyson Reaves is a philanthropy strategist with more than 20+ years of experience helping institutions and communities build the relationships, resources and capacity required for long-term impact. Her work spans the United States, Caribbean and Europe, with particular experience in community philanthropy, cultural institutions, nonprofit capacity building and cross-border philanthropic strategy.

BLACK ALUMNI COLLECTIVE

Allyson co-founded the Black Alumni Collective, and she organized the first conference at Georgia Tech in 2019. The organization subsequently developed into a national network involving alumni from more than 40 colleges and universities. Although known for national convenings, the BAC and its impact are larger than conference experiences. BAC creates infrastructure through which Black alumni leaders from different universities exchange volunteer strategies, strengthen alumni organizations, support students, discuss philanthropy and civic engagement, and build relationships across institutions. She incubated in Atlanta an organization that now operates nationally.
