Allyson's introduction to fundraising was in service to the Achievement School at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church on Hilton Head Island, SC, which was founded by her late mother, Sandra Bass. While a full-time student at Clemson University, Allyson designed a combination of fundraising efforts including grant-writing, donor stewardship, and community outreach.

Allyson served as Grants and Endowment Administrator at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina and later as Program Associate at the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, where she developed expertise in community-based philanthropy.

Allyson's career expanded internationally through the Transatlantic Community Foundation Network, Fondazione CRT, and work with the St. Croix Foundation for Community Development, where she supported nonprofit collaboration, capacity building, and community development.

Allyson joined CCS Fundraising, advancing through leadership positions to Senior Vice President. Her consulting career has encompassed campaign management, planning studies, development assessments, interim advancement leadership, strategic planning, and capacity building across higher education, healthcare, arts and culture, and community organizations.
